The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kumbungu District, Hon. Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu, has welcomed the Head of the Local Government Service and his delegation to the Kumbungu District Assembly for a staff durbar held on Monday, 5 October 2026, at the District Assembly Hall. The DCE expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as an important opportunity to strengthen engagement between the leadership of the Local Government Service and staff at the district level.
Hon. Kakpagu noted that the effectiveness of the Local Government Service depends largely on the dedication, competence, discipline and welfare of its human resource. He therefore emphasised the importance of professionalism, accountability, responsiveness, collaboration and effective service delivery in translating government policies and programmes into tangible development outcomes at the local level.
The DCE further expressed the Assembly’s appreciation for the engagement, noting that it would provide staff with valuable insights into current developments, expectations, opportunities and the future direction of the Local Government Service. He expressed confidence that the interaction would strengthen teamwork, improve staff morale and enhance service delivery in the District.
