On behalf of the Kumbungu District Assembly, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaj Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu, and the Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Sachibu Asiminu, express our sincere appreciation to the people of Kumbungu for their impressive participation in the National Sanitation Day exercise held on Saturday, 22nd August 2026. Your presence and commitment demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility towards keeping our communities clean, safe and healthy.

We particularly wish to acknowledge the NPP Constituency Executives for joining the exercise and contributing meaningfully to the communal effort. We also extend our special appreciation to the students and staff of Kumbungu Senior High School, whose participation added tremendous energy and enthusiasm to the exercise. The involvement of these groups, together with residents and other stakeholders, sends a powerful message that sanitation is a shared responsibility that transcends political, institutional and social boundaries.

The DCE and the Environmental Health Officer are grateful to everyone who sacrificed their time and energy to clean our streets, public spaces and surroundings. We encourage all residents to sustain this spirit beyond the National Sanitation Day exercise by practising proper waste disposal, keeping their surroundings clean and supporting sanitation initiatives within the district. Together, let us keep Kumbungu clean, healthy and safe for all.
