The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kumbungu, Hon. Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu, has paid a working visit to the Nawuni-Singa Bridge project, which is currently under construction by Maripoma Enterprise Limited (MEL).

The visit formed part of the DCE’s efforts to assess the progress of work on the important infrastructure project, which is currently over 85% complete.

When completed, the bridge is expected to significantly improve connectivity between the overseas communities and other surrounding communities and regions, while also boosting economic activities and facilitating the movement of people, goods and services.

Hon. Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu commended the contractor for the impressive progress made so far and encouraged them to maintain the momentum and ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The completion of the Nawuni-Singa Bridge will undoubtedly bring great relief and contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the Kumbungu District and its surrounding communities.
