The Responsibilities of the Environmental Health Department are to;

1. Coordinate and review regional and targeted Environmental Health programmes. 
2. Initiate, monitor and evaluate the application of social techniques and concepts in the solution of Environmental Health problems. 
3. Support the day-to-day administration for the smooth functioning of the organization. 
4. Support the provision of technical assistance for the quality assurance process. 
5. Ensure the development of the capabilities, skills and knowledge of staff.
6. Appraise direct reports.
7. Undertake any other duties that may be assigned.
